A sonorous EPL event with SE AUDIOTECHNIK
Eat Play Love – the lifestyle festival once again delighted numerous fans at Fühlinger See in Cologne this year. With an impressive line-up of the world’s best wakeboarders and a diverse cultural programme, the event invited visitors on an unforgettable culinary journey around the world.
Sound world from SE AUDIOTECHNIK
The entire sound system for the lake stage was realised with products from SE AUDIOTECHNIK in order to offer everyone an outstanding sound experience.
- L 65 loudspeakers: In a ground stack consisting of 7x L 65, a powerful 3-way line array loudspeaker, these provided impressive sound. With a sound pressure level of up to 139 dB and homogeneous sound reproduction across the frequency range from 60 Hz to 18 kHz, the L-65s were able to cope with even the most demanding acoustic requirements. The integrated four-point rigging system also enabled quick and safe set-up.
- B 21 subwoofers: With their 21″ driver and a maximum sound level of 142 dB, these powerful subwoofers delivered powerful bass down to the lowest frequencies (from 25 Hz). The sound was always precise and defined, not least due to the high load capacity of up to 4,000 watts peak, but also thanks to the end-fire setup.
- SMX 12 monitors and B 15 subwoofers: A combination of 2x SMX 12 and 4x B-15 was used for the DJs. The SMX 12, a compact and extremely versatile 2-way coaxial monitor, offered harmonious sound with its high sensitivity of 99 dB and a dispersion angle of 80° x 80°. The B 15 with its 15″ woofer can achieve a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB and is ideal for applications where space is limited due to its compact size. Both systems ensured that the artists on stage could make their performances sound perfect.
- L 35 loudspeakers: Six L 35 ultra-compact line array loudspeakers were used as infill to optimise sound dispersion. Weighing less than 4kg, the L 35s offered amazing sound performance and allowed for easy installation. Despite their compact size, a sound pressure level of up to 123 dB is possible.
- LA 10.4D amplifier: The LA 10.4D amplifier, which has a total output of 10,000 watts, was used to ensure the optimum sound characteristics of all components. With its high-quality, integrated DSP, flexible connection options and intuitive control via the touchscreen or the SE Mission Control software, it guaranteed precise signal processing and optimum adjustment of all speakers. Thanks to the speaker presets, the system could be set up quickly and efficiently, which greatly improved the overall experience for both the technical staff and the artists.
The Eat Play Love 2024
The Eat Play Love Festival was not only a platform for exceptional performances in wakeboarding and first-class music, but also a place for encounters and inspiration. Visitors and participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, make new friends and create precious memories in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The combination of sporting excellence, culinary delights and captivating performances ensured that every visitor felt engaged and entertained.
The culinary world tour was another highlight of the event. From savoury street food specialities to sweet treats, numerous food trucks and stalls offered a variety of international delicacies for visitors to feast on and enjoy. The passion of the talented chefs and the quality of the ingredients used created an unforgettable experience for all the senses. Eat Play Love not only combined sport and music, but also celebrated the joy of good food.
The symbiosis of sound, taste and community made Eat Play Love 2024 a special experience. The rousing beats of the DJs, the exciting action of the wakeboarders, the culinary highlights and the friendly interaction of the festival visitors created an atmosphere that invited visitors to linger and celebrate. The high-quality audio technology from SE AUDIOTECHNIK helped to ensure that every moment could be heard clearly and distinctly, while the audience was able to enjoy the performances to the full.
