This year, more than 5,000 teachers and students gathered at the welcome and orientation ceremony of Liming Vocational University (Quanzhou, China) at Chen Yiming Stadium to greet the freshmen and celebrate the new academic year.
The impressive welcome program ranged from speeches and classical symphonic concert performances to poetic sound and light installations and hip-hop performances. Such a broad spectrum of different program items naturally delighted the numerous visitors, but certainly posed a challenge for the sound system – after all, the installed system had to be ready for the most diverse requirements.
In order to turn the lavish party into a sound extravaganza, SE Audiotechnik installed a total of 32 M-F3A PROs and 16 B 15A subwoofers. 12 M-F3A PROs were flown left and right of the stage, while three M-F3A PROs were stacked as sidefills on two B 15As. Three more M-F3A PROs on two B 15A subwoofers served as centrefills in front of the stage.
Liu Liangshi, General Manager of Xiamen Culture Media Co. Ltd. and responsible for the setup and sound systems said after the event: “I always like to install the M-F3A PRO active loudspeakers – even at medium-sized and large art and music festivals. Above all, the low weight of only 8.3kg per piece brings significant advantages in terms of rigging, safety, and last but not least, handling in any situation. Despite their ultra-compact format, the active hornless line array systems bring enough coverage for very many configurations. The sound pressure of 129 dB and the clever adjustment options of the DSP enable fast setups and clean, powerful sound for a wide variety of applications and acoustic conditions. And the compact design allows for tighter angles in the array, making it easier for me to evenly cover the front and back rows! In any case, once again, I’m very pleased with the performance of this system.“
